The 2014 Stirling Duathlon will comprise 4 races, incorporating the Scottish Duathlon Championships and the Scottish Student Duathlon Championships, as well as introducing a new taster event for people keen to try out duathlon for the first time.

The Stirling Duathlon takes in some of Scotland's most picturesque scenery, with the run for each race starting under the shadow of the Wallace Monument, within the grounds of Stirling University.

Excellent changing and refreshment facilities are on site, along with the availability of a sports massage either pre or post-race (please see here for further details).

Standard Event

We are proud to be hosting the Scottish Duathlon Championships in 2014.

Although not a requirement to enter the race, eligibility for Championship points or prizes requires that entrants have triathlonscotland membership and corresponding race licence. Your licence number should be included on the entry form if applicable.

Similarly, entrants to the Scottish Student Duathlon Championships must enter their current University name on the entry form. You may enter both the Scottish Duathlon Championships and Scottish Student Duathlon Championships at the same time.

Adult prize money this year is £400, £200, £100 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall in both male and female categories. There are also prizes of £25 on offer for the fastest run and fastest bike for both male and female. Click here to enter




Sprint Event

Note that this is not the Championship event, but a separate race held on the same day over a shorter distance.

Youths (15-16) can enter either the Junior Event or Sprint Distance as described in the BTF Rule Book.

ComeAlongAthon

This new event is being held to encourage more people to get involved in duathlon and have a go. Crossing the finish line with a smile on your face is the only thing that matters!

The bike part of the event is suitable for road or mountain bike and is held entirely within the playing field area at the University. Click here to enter




Junior Event

We will again be running a kids duathlon event for ages 8 to 16. The course is appropriate for mountain bikes and road bikes - all traffic free!

Triathlon age groups are based on age at end of the year (e.g. if your 11th birthday is coming up this November then you'll race in the 11-12 age group, even although you'll only be 10 on the day of the race). This ensures that you race against the same people all year. Click here to enter

Race briefing for the junior event takes place immediately prior to the race start, while the race briefing for the adult events will take place at 09:20am.
